This could not possibly be any more true, while it may not always be a reaction of fear, people do, in fact, express confusion through feelings of fear, anger, mockery, or even pity. It baffles me that people are so very short sighted in our world, they only understand the standards of which they live in, and pressure others into the same standard. If everyone could somehow understand what it truly is to be free our world would be better for it, there would be no standard for existence, only contrast. Contrast is the best thing our world could ask for, it expresses the differences in all things. If everyone voted the exact same way in a presidential election, and there were absolutely no challengers to the popular belief, everyone would be nothing but a mindless sheep. If we cannot truly act like ourselves then how are we to act? Like someone else? I think not, I am my own person, a free-thinking, rebellious person. I dislike the standard, the norm to which society is adapted. I believe everyone should express who they truly are, without any fear at all for the rest of the worlds' opinions. If our world cannot accept its differences then we are not fit to have them, if you mistreat a pet then you shouldn't be allowed to keep it. The same holds true with freedoms, to be free is to be different, to act like one's self, if we deny this right are we really fit to keep it?
